You don't have to be "riding tough" on the streets to need it.

Nice looking gear but consider some armor.

Yeah... but I meant around your feet/ankles.

To tell you the truth.. those boots are only good for mild slides. They're only built for mild abrasion resistance. Hopefully you don't highside, slam your feet into anything, get off going 100mph, slide then crash into anything, brush up against a guard rail, etc.
Get some real boots because your feet and ankle get fcuked up the easiest in even a minor get off. Listen to the man.

those shoes look very painful...you'll never know till you crash in them either, ignorance is bliss until a lesson is learned and you cant walk for six months!
go to any shoe store and get some sturdy over the ankle boots at the very least, something with more protection. they dont have to be $300 race boots, just something better than what you've got now, you wont regret it.

i think the dianese shoes are probably better than any over the ankle work boot.
The point is armor, over the ankle work boots have leather, but won't really prevent your ankle from getting crushed or twisted.

Unless I'm mistaken the Honest John Airs don't offer any armor, just abrasion resistence. They're basically $150 leather shoes... and you could get some nice A* GPS 3s for about that price.

yeah I'll be honest I don't have full gear still (just got my sidi B2 race boots) but I knowingly admit the fact and know that full leathers is the way to go. Only thing inhibiting me right now is I want to lose more weight before getting full leathers and well I'm a poor college student
thanks guys !

will get to try these shoes first, then drive more on my bike, then will buy a pair of REAL BOOTS !
