I've heard various repsonses to this...I've bought from them and been pleased before. I would make sure you ask them expressly how it fits, and then take a pic of it while you're putting it on so everything is documented.

Thanks DAantagonist. Yeah, I've noticed that most of the CF wings out there seems to be comming from the same mold. I'm saying that cause like my VIS wing fits the same way as my buddy's who bought it through one of HT's Sposor's(can't remember the name) the one with the integrated brake light.

I'm hoping because they say its a new mold, it would fit better.

 

that kinda looks cheap, they didnt even roll the edges with carbon, thats y its painted black, like most of the NRG carbon fiber products

iuno cuz my homie picked up one from jdmshit at there shop and its all carbon fiber there is no black. I guess its just the pict that shows black but its all cf iuno. my other homie has a real spoon duckbill that he paid like 6bills for back in the day and the jdmshit one looks exactly like the real spoon . fyi the real spoon doesnt have rolled edges only the fake wings do and they dont fit good

I'd have to say that most of the CF product out there in mass production are made by the same two or three manufacturers....just different level of tolerances. It's your chance to take...for the money, it's worth a shot as long as you ACCEPT that they're might be fitment issues...but that's with all of them you know?

cliff notes: it's a craps shoot no matter what.

The new mold has a higher kick. The old mold had excellent fitment though.

yea it was one of there new oe spoon wings. my homie paid more for it but it looks way better than the other ones because it looks exactly like the real spoon this other guy has that we compared to. they said they made it from teh real spoon wing mold and I beleive it.

the guy who said that its black with no rolled edges dont know wtf hes talkin about. the wing does not have any black paint on it. its all carbon fiber and like I said it looks dark in the pict they have but its all carbon fiber. the wing is exactly like the real spoon wing and the spoon wing does not have rolled edges. it has sharper edges so it lines up better with the hatch. look at a vis wing that we used to have. has a nice kick to it but the rolled edges look nice but it fit like total ****.

 

agreed and the VIS 'puffy' wings look like garbage.

As for the other guy asking about rolled edges and black paint, wing is full carbon fiber and the picture is dark so it may show a shadow on it. I will take some new pics when I get a chance in the sunlight on the car. The mold was made from the real Spoon wing, which I also have. We use that as a comparason when we have ours made so we know that we're selling the exact type with the same angle on each of our Spoon OE wings.

Have you seen the real Spoon wing and not just a "Spoon style" wing? A good quality piece does not need to have "rolled" edges. Rolled edges is what knock-off companies do to their products to fool customers when their product doesn't fit well. Here is a perfect example as we all know the VIS wings are very nice looking with nicely rolled edges:




The wing on the teal hatch is like what we make, and what the original poster of this thread was asking about. When we remake the oem parts, we go off of the original piece and make it exactly to scale rather than making it a universal fit to every other car like the "style" products.
