Default Gc suspentions

im thinking of going with GC/Koni yellows. with rates around 430f/380 rear(car will be daily dirven and occausly drag raced(not on the street) i would like to get rid of the gap between the spring and the sock mount when susention is at full drop so i was thinking of getting the extended top hat and the koni yellow that neuspeed offers sine that koni has a shorter rod length what do u guys think about that...im kinda anoob to suspetion so dont be too harsh

the top hats will help, but getting the nuespeed konis wont.

id suggest getting 8 inch springs, and some helper springs.

GC will know what your talking about when you call and order.

The only time there should be a gap between the spring and the tophat would be when the car is in the air. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at...

having a gap when the car is at full droop doesnt affect the ride at all. if he was using some kind of adjustable spring kit with stock shocks, that alone will cause horrible ride. if you have a swaybar, then both front or rear wheels will need to be in air at the same time for it to even have a gap, which would mean youre doing some kind of jump, not likely...

also, the neuspeed koni yellows dont have a short rod length, just have an internal spacer that limits droop. effectively the same thing only in regards to droop, but not the same in any other aspect like being less likely to internally bottom out.

extended top hats would certainly reduce droop length as well if thats what you really want. but its not going to change your ride unless youre already hitting your bumpstops.
