I agree! But I am not up to snuff with the DMV restrictions in TN. Too bad it's missing everything.....Would be one heck of a project though.

if you read the post, he mentioned that its good for a track car, or something along those lines, i just wanted to point out that before all the members go nuts trying to buy it.
it depends on how you look at investing into this project, if you have no resources, then yes, it SUCKS! so chill out.
as for the VIN#'s, you'll be good as long as the sticker is still on the door jam.

if you have a connection with a tow company you can make that clean title.
The way the tow process works is - They impound the car, after X amount of days they have legal rights to put a lien on it, once the lien has been placed they become the legal owner then it goes through the impound auction and gets sold with a "bill of sale" the bill of sale will have no record of the cars prior history and you'll be able to register it no problem.

if its you try and register it with the non-repairable title it will be impossible. They wont budge.
The only reason it would be NR is either the car has been totaled out a couple times and the insurance is tired of paying it off. Its the same concept as "3 strikes you're out"
or
They simply dont want it to be a revolving door with with another R getting jacked to fix that one up.
