Default got a Si head...how much for the rest?

i bought an Si head with 125k and my d15b2 bottom end has 265...something id rather do without. how much would a si bttom end from a 90-91 civic, and the tranny cost? another question, i was told its not necessary to convery from dpfi to mpfi..but how much of a loss in performance will there be if i dont?

you will lose alot in performance if you dont convert to mpfi... dpfi is garbage.... as for the motor you can find the a6 motor all over for $200 and under depending on your location

you can buy a z6 or a d15b on line for under $600

the d15b is jspec right? my buddy just got one for 400 in toronto ontario, canada. the block and vtec head. rated at 130 hp. hes putting it in his eg tomm. looks like a really good and cheap swap. i'm gonna see how it goes and make my decision fron there. either that or get the si motor and tranny, then go from there

good for boosting isnt it? 9:5 compression isnt it? im only 17 and got a part time job...and go to highschool, so gas money is important to me! lol this engine wont kill my tank as quick as others either. its practical and quick, and i wont have to save up for a year to buy it.

the d15b's are perfect for boost like you said, they're cheap engines, and low compression. unfortunatly a good turbo is quite a bit...right now ive put into mine:
skunk2 shifter, sihead, aem shortram intake,
si gauge cluster, si center console, NGK plugs and wiring, 5zigen replica muffler. painted clear corners amber..and in the process of figuring out a lip that i can mold to my usdm fron end(1990 hatch) cuz the only lip is the Si one and its not noticeable enough for me
