how much HP is stock clutch good for?
im putting on a t3/t4 turbo on my friends gsr, this turbo made 306whp@10psi and 380whp@17psi on a gsr that it was on before. if he keeps the boost on 10psi, will the clutch hold up aslong as he doesnt launch or full throttle shift?

I had a 55 shot on my stock GSR for a couple months and that just about toasted it. At 14k miles it was slipping during hard shifts. But yeah, the car went to the strip a few times.
It might be ok for a little while if he shifts slow and doesn't beat on it, but wont last more than a few months.

No, it's not really an EG6. I just like to pretend.

Clutches dont hold Hp they hold trq. Youd be good with a Exedy stage 1 or stage 2 depending on what kinda driving you do!

what kinda driving are you looking to do? Daily Driven with some track abuse? You could do the ACT set up with an heaveier duty pressure plate and a street disc with a prolite flywheel. Or Just you could to the Exedy stage 2, nice thing about the stage 2 is its compairable to the stage 1 act, but will grab alot harder for all of those quick shifts and itsnt like an on/off switch.... And the exedy is cheaper in price
it will daily driven and at the track every weekend.. But for now, i have no money, and was just wondering if its even possible to do a 3rd gear pull without the clutch slipping at high rpms
I've seen stock cluthes break under boost. I don't drive mine that hard and changed the clutch to a act xtss this weekend and my stock clutch was worn almost to the rivets and one of the spring keepers broke almost letting the spring fall out, all after about 6K miles of 300 whp.

i have a turbo Teg. It's on a stock clutch and is holding up pretty well. turbo was installed about 8 months ago and is probably pushing a lean 230hp. Smaller turbo and a everyday driver taken to the track once.
