Default to those with 11/12:1 compression

What kind of numbers do you get when you do a compression test?

With an 11:1 H22 at close to sea level I got 225-230 psi.

same question here. I'm pushing out 265-270 across(in seattle area, not sure what the elevation is here) on my JDM h22a(came out of an auto ). I've been trying to figure out what compression ratio I have cause supposedly, these numbers are high for a stock motor. (I'm still on stock internals).

I have Crower stage 3's so they probably drop the compression #'s a little bit due to some overlap. Cams with no overlap (like stock) might be around 240 psi I guess. The tests were done with a warm engine, jdm block with flat valve faced valves, & a slightly milled head.

My old H22 with type-S pistons and cams was at ~240 psi at 500' elevation. But it varies depending on what compression tester you use. More/longer hose affects the PSI reading and cams drop the pressure too.

dude compression test psi are not something to estimate your ratio with, they vary too much....its just like a dyno, you cant compare across manufacturers....

the only thing a compression test should show is consistent numbers....
