compression specs
What are the compression specs on a stock gs-r motor. I would all so like to know if higher lift cams effect the compression. Since im up here at 6100 feet how does that effect my comopression?
compression specs should be between 230-260 (i think)
higher lift cams wont effect compression, the only way to effect compression is different pistons and being up higher shouldn't effect your compression
hope that helps ya out

I thought cams do affect your compression. Maybe not strictly higher lift, but that often goes along with changed duration & overlap. The duration & overlap will affect your compression.

are you saying that there is no way to raise the compression in your car besides pistons. if you are thats incorrect. you can raise and lower your compression with a thick or thinner headgasket, you can mill the head and do other things to raise the compression with headwork....im sure there are many more things aswell.
i think what your trying to say is that no matter what compression you have the numbers still read the same. if thats what your saying...then i would like to know the answer to that. say a gsr has a 11:5:1 compression...will the compression tester read higher numbers then normal (if you had a 10:1)?????
