Looks like Scott Lear and I will be at this weekend's NASA event at VIR. If you're going to be there, stop by and say hi. This will also be the official road race debut of our '02 Civic Si.

 

OK, here are your stories:

1) The #81 Team Trackrat Integra R is going for it's 3rd straight E1 win in the enduro.

2) Crew chief for # 81, Willard Harris believes pit strategy and pit stop execution are key, "What the hell else could it be? My drivers are idiots."

3) Twin brothers Punter and Porker Whitt move up to an E0 car in 2006...after having their asses handed to them last year in E1.

4) Will the Franza H2 juggernaut continue in H1? Sources close to the series believe that Franza is washed up and bailed on H2 just as Whitt and Trackrat were ready to challenge.

5) Will Chad Slagg make it through an entire weekend without mowing some VIR grass, or conducting an unauthorized burnout in front of the track owner during touring laps?

6) Will Cobetto start each morning's announcements without that annoying electronic time stamp tone?

7) What about tires? Never mind...don't go there!

8) Is NASA really going to give RJ a comp license?

....that's all I can think of at the moment. Feel free to chime in boyz!

impossible. i've been running hpde3 for just over a year and held everyone up. now i'll be holding up all the traffic in group 4.

As for the slow black CRX... well... we can draft each other, with our two powers combined... we *might* exceed 100mph. Which is pretty impressive for my Civic, lol.

if you two are in group 3 i would hope you could get those little engines up to 100 mph... my CRX with the A6 will do it

Typically I just feel like I need to mount a finger to the top of the car for which side to pass on that way I can keep my hands on the wheel more when I get passed every 500 feet.

Interesting? What car are you driving? I have passed three cars in my entire HPDE experience...and two of them passed me back.

what motor are you running? are you in a DX? In our little cars you have to nail the roller coaster through hog pen... 3rd gear at 7k rpm exiting hog pen... shift as you straighten the car out coming off the rumble strips... and just keep your foot down... my speedo entering the braking zone (yes i know they are off) reads about 115.

D15 baby, dual points rule...they are power monsters. Roller coaster isn't an issue that is my favorite part of the track (especially when I can run back up on the Vette that passed me) but 100mph is really hoofin it for my car. Sad part is my braking zone is a lot smaller due to the EX Knuckles, ITR calipers, Prelude rotors. (all brakes, no motor) Is it sad that I can't fly down the straights but, I can drive past someone in the braking zone? We'll see what MPH I reach on the back stretch. No matter what though I am always having fun.

I will probably be so fast that the owner of that K-series ITR will want to borrow my car.
