Default 94 civic dx What's the best way to get more power?

Hello everyone I just picked up my first honda the other day and now I'm trying to see what I can do to have some fun with it. So I'm would like to have some opinions as to what would be the cheapest way to get 200hp in this car. Weather it be through a engine swap or modifying the current engine. I do want to keep away from JDM engines and Nitros. 200hp is all I want and I currently have the d15b7 which runs just fine. So any help or opinions is greatly appreciated.

there are a couple ways you can go to achieve power.Your choices are Natural aspiration, forced induction, or engine swap. Engine swap will probally be the cheapest and most effective way of getting 200hp, how ever you can put a turbo on or do work to the stock engine. if your not looking for a lot of power i would just do some basic mods to the car and keep it natural aspirated. Some basic mods are a full cat back exhaust system, Cold air intake, headers, and an underdrive pully that could probally get you about 50 whp right there maybe more. The first thing i would recomend you doing that dosent even matter which route your going is to get a cat back exhaust. That is the single best begining mod to do because A. it produces more hp B. it looks cool as hell and C. because it sounds cool as hell. If you are really looking to get up to 200 whp get an engine swap because the engine u have stinks to work with... GL

because instead of spending $10k on a K20 swap, I can get a B16 and build it for track (road race) use for the same price.

No that might get it to 50 whp. We aren't talking a 6L V8. Check out this power page from a CRX Si (Closest Comparison I found) although the D16A6 is a much better motor they would probably react the same to mods.
