skunk2 on an LS
it should bolt up right since the manifold is positioned the same. it's only on the gsr that you need to use an ITR throttle cable. to the best of my knowledge

I have the Skunk2 IM on my LS, and I didnt have any problems. There was only small crap, for instance: the trottle cable bracket had to be bent, the original intake manifold mounting bracket will not bolt up to the Skunk2 IM, and the studs comming off of the head are to short. We literally had to beat the hell out of the gasket before I could get a nut threaded once, but that could have just been the gasket that I used. The LS CAI should bolt up no problem, as well as pretty much everything else.

When installing a Skunk2 IM on an LS, what extra parts do you need to buy? Do you need an ITR throttle cable, bracket and pulley? Do you need new gaskets? Do you need new O rings for the injectors? Can someone supply a complete list of parts you need to install this part on the car? Parts that do not come with the kit.
Thank you.
Thank you.
you need a gasket for the t-body (maybe) and one for sure for the intake mani. all that other stuff your taling about is for gsr's cause there stock im faces down and ours faces up.
like others have said there was one stud that was too short and i think the rest were fine for me and the throttle cable had to be bent. then only 1 whole will line up so you need to widen one of the holes in the throttle bracket. then if you have an obd2 car the evap sensor on the top of the im needs to be moved and attached to a vacuum source. (i hooked it ino the iacv bolt and bent it to prevent it hitting the block) there is an extra coolant line on the bottom where the stock line is that needs to be capped and there is an extra vacuum line on the back that needs to be capped as well. and yes the support bracket that connects the im to the block cant be hooked back up but that just makes it easier for oil changes. by far its not a simple bolt on. i wasnt aware of any of these problems when installing it but was able to work around them.
pictures of it installed are on my page

any more questions?

JCushing: What parts should I buy from Acura before installing this part? Do you have part numbers?
What do you do if a stud is too short?
Does anyone have a picture of the evap sensor and where it should be connected to(iacv bolt)?
Please answer all these questions... thanks

it cost me 375 for about 5-7 hours of work, not really sure how long it took, they claimed they had to machine out some of the runners where they connect to the headbut I supplied them with a new IM and head gasket and new o-rings, but I also replaced all my fuel system components that go into the IM. I also got a free wrench, which I found in the engine bay, they put too much coolant in the system which I think contributed strongly to my radiator failure which happened 4 days later and they forgot to connect a hose or two which I discovered when I got the car home... over all not a very good sign and I'm not so sure I'll take it back to get worked on there. I don't think they had to do anything special with my throttle cable and bracket, though they might have redrilled it to move the holes down lower. I haven't taken it off to check though. HTH
i bought a nipple to cover a vacuum line and some brass fittings to plug the extra coolant line as well as a new im gasket all from autozone (acura didnt have the gaskets in stock) this is really more simple than its being made out to be it just looks hard when i list all the things i ran into.
ill post a huge pic i have of my engine bay. i had to steal a line from the pcv system for the evap.. and you must bend the evap towards the front of the engine bay.
hmmm it shrunk the pic....
