how do fix gas leak on my I/M ?
recently i noticed on my 93 hatch (B16A) i would smell gas when i first started the car until it was warmed to running temp. today i decide to pop the hood to put some window washing fluid and noticed there was fuel on the intake manifold, right underneath the injectors. seems like they are leaking. i didn't know that they can leak! does this mean i need to replace just the seals around them? and if so are they expensive?
there are little rubber 0-ring gaskets that go between the injectors and the manifold. they are easy to replace and not too expensive. just be careful not to tear them when putting the new ones in. good luck.
Finished my swap and fuel leaked somewhere on the I/M... found out it was one of the injectors, so I swapped the old fuel rail/injectors over from the old motor. Fixed the problem. So it must be something that's injectors related.
all four are leaking. there is a small brown stain underneath them. i did remove them in the past. i change my rings first - it's chaeper.
thanks for the advice though!
