remote start wiring questions
I'm trying to hook up my remote start...there is a wire that says:
Pin 4: Blue/White wire: (-) 200ma bypass output when remote start. Connect this wire to the interface of remote start bypass module.
Can anyone explain to me what this means...I dont have a clue..thanks

Don't know how much simpler I can make it... That wire gets hooked to the status input of the immobilizer bypass module.
What kind of car are you installing the remote start on? Year Make Model please.

Maybe we only connect the wire to the "Clutch Interlock Switch", [starter relay side] so the car will remotely start, kind of pointless if you have to get into car and step on clutch to start it with the remote start, or are you just one of the guys that think bypassing the "CIS" completely is the best way to do that?

an immobilizer is factory security, a clutch switch is a safety feature, not security. And it doesn't matter which way you wire up the clutch switch, the remote start will function the same either way.

either way the car will remote start without you in it, and either way it'll still jump if left in gear.

Your also not telling me how the "CIS" can be wired "any which way" and still work, allowing you to remotely start the car

it will try to start in gear, the car will jump forward and stall. And I thought you understood that we were comparing wiring the switch the way you described vs just bypassing it entirely.
