WHat To Expect When Buying S2K
hey all...
im very interested in buying a s2k, its a completly different change for me since ive gone from my 200SX drift machine to something somewhat in a new ballgame...
I just test drove a 02 s2k with the complete red interior upgrade on the dash and it had to have been the drive of my life, unbelievable.. i was amazed at how this car handled like a go-kart and redlined at 9k...
Im new to honda's and there v tech motors and would like any help you's can give...
what to look for when buying a s2k.. ive heard something about one with low kms means it probably hasnt been run in properly... series 1 / series 2 i cant tell the differance... something about the valve springs and the wind noise.(does newer models have less wind noise)
Keep in mind i know nothing about an Sk2 or a honda motor, but after that driving experiance ill stop at nothing until i get one... so now down to knowing what to look for... thanks guys much appreciated...

lmao...gotta love the generic responses from people like this ^^^
Anyways...the easiest way to answer your questions is to suggest to you to take the car to Honda and spend the money to have it fully inspected. These cars are built to be beat on, so truely, they do take quite a lickin' and they keep on ticking, but they DO occasionally have the idiots that abuse them and dont properly maintain them. The inspection cost will pay for itself 1,000 fold if it keeps you out of that kind of situation.
Most of the newbie questions can be found by searching this forum though, such as which years have what little nuisances and what years came with what options...im not going into that...
As far as what to look for though...get it inspected, it'll give you peace of mind and insure that you're making a smart purchase.
