Default V6 strut bar on I4

Can some tell me if the strut bar for a 6th Gen AV6 will fit a 6th Gen 4cyl. FOR SURE, ive heard all sorts of things. I think it will, but I have some stuburn(sp) freinds who want to prove me wrong.

What strut bar are you talking about?

The OEM bars don't actually connect the strut towers. They brace the strut towers to the firewall. These strut braces are present (and are the same) on both 4-cyl and V6.

If you're talking about aftermarket strut bars, they are all made to fit both the 4-cyl and V6. There is no difference.

Okay... How about some more information? First, what year is your Accord? (Let's make sure we're still talking about 6th gens here.) What "modding" did you have to do? Was it an ebay strut bar?

From personal experience, I can tell you this:
My friend had a 98 4-cyl and was rear-ended (totalled). He then purchased a 99 V6. I personally swapped over his strut bar (among other things) from the 4-cyl to the V6.

The aftermarket strut bar that is on my '99 4-cyl came off a V6.

I had absolutely no isses with either. I have also never seen a strut bar specified for I4 only or V6 only. In other words, all have been specified to fit both.

damn, it took that long to get the issue right?

here some 100% comfirm info.

i4 and v6 bar are all interchangable, you can even use the oem one for STOCK cl-s/tl-s.

if you look hard enough you will see two angle'd brace that attach your strut tower to the firewall. MOST company like eibach have a strut bar that doesn't not require you to alter anything. BUT most of the cheap ebay taiwanese special will require you to remove the firewall brace in order to fit.

if you still can't figure out which one need more works, just look at the mounting point, if it's a full completed circle shaped disk, you need to remove the oem brace. eibach and neuspeed's bar's mount works around the oem brace.

but if you are really **** about it(like me) you can cut your mounting disk, so you can have all three brace
