Default DC2 ITR vs. DC5 ITR

I just test drove the 02 DC5 ITR since am getting it for my brother. Some of you guys are right in the aspect that the DC2 is more livelier. The weight of the DC5, which is 70kgs more, felt really pronounced. The car definitely felt more at home as a daily driver since it had better torque. The DC5 felt it had better sound insulation. I dont know why since I think Honda did'nt put sound insulation too. It just felt more civilized I guess. But I first told my brother to get would be an intake and exhaust. The DC5 really felt restrictive. My DC2 has a Simota intake and RSR exhaust and the car felt just as quick or a little faster! Maybe due to its light weight and higher reving engine. In a nutshell, I like the DC5 but am not crying over it. My DC2 is like a light Porsche RS!

Agreed. In my experience the DC2R with intake and exhaust equals or maybe even slightly surpasses the standard DC5R.

Well the K20 motor is more responsive to mods so yeah.
Overall the DC5 R is a good improvement compared to the DC2
but I'd still take the DC2R over the DC5R any day.

I thought I had read the DC5R was actually slightly lighter than DC2R?
