Did you use a Fpr when you got it tuned? Is a fpr necessary?

on my brother's 98 spec R
stock internals
stock ecu
comptech ice box
comptech 4-2-1 header
comptech full catback with no resonator
before vafc2
base line was 162 whp
after it was tuned 171 whp
i forget what the torque gaines were. also it was tune on a dyno, not street tune

i have
VAFC2
FPR
AEM CAI
164.8 whp dyno tuned (not dynojet), but without tuning it was around 156ish. i talked to my tuner about switching to hondata with obd1 and he said with my plans (just more bolt ons) that the vafc would be fine.
