Car won't start
Ok. fellas I have a 91 honda accord lx 4 door that I bought for a daily driver. The last owner said he replaced the timing belt, distributor cap and rotor. One month after I bought it I went to drive it home from work and it wouldn't start. I have since replaced the main relay, ignitor, and ignition coil and it still won't start. I'm getting really frustrated with it. I have spent almost $300.00 trying to get it to run and have had no luck. I did the spark plug wire test and it's not getting any spark. Does anyone here have a clue to what might be the problem?
Remove the dist. cap and have someone crank the engine over so you can see if the rotor rotates. If not then the timing belt or camshaft is broken. Have you checked to if the coil has power to it with the key on?(Black/Yel wire)
The serpentine belts tell you nothing about the health (or lack of) of the Timing Belt. Do as OldTopTech has suggested and verify camshaft and distributor rotation by pulling the distributor cap.
Again, check that you have Battery Voltage to the ignition coil. If you don't, suspect the ignition switch.

Power interuption to the TCM (Trans Control Module). They sometimes have bad capacitors which leak over time and cause the TCM to reboot every time the power is lost.

ok car stranded me for the second time today. Now I bought this car because hondas are suppose to be dependable and so far it has been nothing but a money pit. I have replaced timing belt, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, main relay, ignitor, ignition coil. Now the car still won't start and not only that but now the "S" light stays on and it feels like it won't go out of second gear. I have seen others with this same problem on several forums and nobody has a clue to what it is. Someone please help me before I lose my mind. The only other option i see is to take it to a Honda dealership where they will charge me $70.00 an hour just to look at it.

If you don't have a meter and intend to skip over advice that you can't apply such as P's ignition switch suggestion, then you would have been better served to spend that $300 dollars at the dealer or a reputable mechanic. Guess work is always expensive.
