Default Removing axle from intermediate shaft, need help!

I dont know if there is a trick to this or if i'm just not prying/pulling hard enough on it. Passenger side came out with just a quick jerk of the pry bar...popped right out. The space in which I have to work with on the driver side with the intermediate shaft sux, cant pull on it hard enough or pry on it hard enough to pop that little ****** out. could I damage the intermediate shaft from pulling/prying too hard possibly? TIA

How long did it take you to knock it out with a hammer?

That's what I use at work. I've never had a prob getting an axle out with this. I use the flatter end, on the right. Just stick it between and give it a nice pry/pull (I rarely even have to use a hammer or other tool to hit it), and the axle will just pop right out.

I forgot to add that that tool costs about $2-$3 and you can find something like it at just about any hardware store

Yes, the wonder bar. Would have helped, I bought a kit of differant pry bars that got the job done too.

So as for hints, there were a couple that I could have used. Make sure you get a pickle fork for the ball joints, they can be little *******. The spindle nut wasn't really a problem for me at all, just get a breaker bar and with the car on the ground have the bar paralell to the ground and stand on it, it'll pop right off.

A big hammer, pry bar and pickle fork are the key tools for this...oh and get some nice mechanic gloves they help

The one mistake I made was karate chopping the pickle fork. Iced that one out and all was well. Good luck with yours dude!

Actually mine is blue too I got it from harbor freight, this chain store that sells cheap tools. But I couldn't find the tool on their site, so this was the next best thing I could find that compared

Works great none the less!
