Default start up problems

i recently installed a d15b in my hatch and when i start the car after it is completly cooled down it takes a while to start and when it does start the car surges between 4500 and 5500 rpms until the car warms up. once it is warmed up the car drives fine but the idle tends to get higher as a drive. i have my old intake manifold and fuel injectors from my old d16a6 could that be a problem? also when i drive my car guzzels gas could it be a bad coolent temp sensor thats causing the car to run rich? any help would be great.
