Default How to test 4 wire Oxygen Sensor??

I am converting from 0BD0 tp 0BD1.

I just wanted to test out my 4 wire oxygen sensor before i do the wiring to make sure it heats up correctly.

I tested it by connecting the 2 white wires to positive and the grey wire to negative on a 12v battery.

it didnt get hot.

I just want to make sure everything works correctly. otherwise ill be looking for faults once its all complete.

the two white wires are for the heater element

the black wire is the o2 signal to the ecu
the grey wire is the ground for the o2.

hook up one of the white wires to a + source
hook up the other white wire to a - source...heater will get hot
