d15b del sol or b18 civc hatch?? HELP!
Ok here is my dilema, I have a 97 del sol si, with a d16z6 and a jdm d15b with lsd tranny, 2 sets 17's body kit, skunk2 coil overs, etc. etc. got a good amount of stuff for it all brand new not even installed yet. Ok, there's someone that wants to trade me a 93 civic hatchback for my 96 ninja that dont run. the civic has a b18c1 swap, it has a spun bearing. the head was worked on bout 20k miles ago, she also will include a LS bottom end. the civic itself needs painted, needs wheels and this and that minor things for looks and of course the engine fixed. My question is that i want all your guys opinions on what to do. Keep my del sol that i dont really have the money to work on at the moment, or trade my bike for that civic, sell my del sol and use the money to fix up the civic. Me personally, i rather have a hatch with a gsr swap or a LSVTECH setup,.. also how much do you think it would cost me to either have the bearing fixed or do the lsvtech? thanks.
dear lord....sounds like you can't even fix the delsol project...
you said you don't have the time or money to fix up the sol...so i don't think you should put away one project to start another....that proboly won't ever get finished..i don't think you should yourself should be building any ls vtec set-ups....
if the motor spun a bearing that means there could be other internal damage done to the motor...you don't really know...could be that the whole motor is destroyed...
anyways like everyone else on this forum is gonna say its up to you...its your car...personally if i were in your situation...i'd sell like the 10 body kits..the 6 pairs of 18's and both single cams and buy a dohc motor for the sol...cause i miss my delsol now that its gone..and i have a hatch now...
