You're comparing apples and oranges, the M4 is a standalone aftermarket EMS with additional capabilities like boost and traction control, real-time telemetry with wireless monitoring, programmable inputs/outputs, and more. The S300 is a Honda ECU with a programmable chip in it that lets you change the settings for what a factory ECU can control. The Motec also costs thousands of dollars more than the S300.

I wouldn't do the M4, especially as it only has 2 ignition drivers, but the M400 looks pretty interesting, although for 1/3 the price I can get most of the features of the M400 in the AEM EMS, which is what I'm currently running.
