Anyone know what the difference is between the two comptech icebox kits, the 96-00 EX one and the 99-00 Si.

Is the only difference intake diameter, or is there something else?

 

hmmm... interesting question. I know the y8 has a 56mm TB where as the a2 has a 60mm TB. Not sure of the outside diameter of the TB opening would be smaller on the y8 as compared to the a2s.

Other than that, I'm not sure if there are any other mounting point differences.

 

yeah, I would think that the only differences is in the diameter of the intake piping. but I think i'll give comptech a call on monday to ask for sure.

The throttle body positions are pretty much the same right?

 

I've only seen under the hood of a y8 equipped vehicle once... so I can't recall to make that comparison. sorry.
