ITR rear sway bar with stock springs and shocks.
i have stock springs and shocks. i did a searcha dn found out that the bar is more prone to tearing out if it is combined with stock shock/spring combo. is this something to really worry about or is tearing out not really an issue with the bsq mounting kit. also what is the difference when the bar is put on with stock suspension???
tia
one more thing...does the ABS bracket need cutting??? i read somewhere that it does but on bsq's site, there is no mention about cutting the bracket.

Iv'e just put my ITR sway bar on stock suspension with the BSQ kit. BSQ was running the ITR sway bars on stock suspension for over 3 years??? So it is safe as long as you dont mount it away from the subframe (Like the stock GSR sway bar)
The difference with the bar is awesome! I felt the difference the first corner I took when I drove it. Now iv'e been driving real hard on corners and the handling is neutral. Handling is so predictable. Cant wait to do my springs and shocks as soon as I get enough money.
The ABS bracket doesnt need cutting. You need to loosen the screw halfway and hit it with a hammer as the flange nut on the other side is spot welded. You wont use the same screw and flange anyway so if it breaks its ok. You then need to drill a hole with 3/8 drill bit to fit the new screw. Search for the ITR sway bar and you'll find a link to BSQ's site where all needed info will be found. Great mod by the way. It's worth it.

it was the best mod i could have done for about $85. I have the stock suspension and used BSQ's kit and have not had any problems. The difference is unbelievable. If you really try it's not too hard to bring the rear end around, as I found out when I autocrossed it with the ITR swaybar. Definitely do it. The install is so easy. Don't sweat it.

thanks for the replies, i already saw that whole thread, i was really helpful. thanks for the link though.
it was in that thread that i read that the sway bar was more prone to tearing out when using stock suspension but i guess 3+ years kinda proves that wrong
man, the beaks product looks good but not for that price. deff going with BSQ. sounds like good stuff.
so the installation is not that difficult? i read on bseries.net that you have to cut a section of the abs bracket but i guess that is not the case. man, i cant wait to do this mod!
BTW...did you guys that did it yourself have any problems with any of the bolts?
TIA...

install is easy. If you can read and tighten/loosen bolts, then thats all there is to it man! Follow BSQ's instructions.

Also, I have sold my mounting/reinforcement kit to a few people that autox their cars with the stock suspension and the Type-R rear swaybar and they haven't experience any problems.

I would love to do this mod, but I'm not sure If I have the know how or the tools to do it properly. Are there any other options that are made to fit 94+ tegs? (i.e Neuspeed rear sway?)

The easiest way to do this is to drill first then remove the rest of the nut with chisel/hammer.
Everything else is bolt-on affair.

i am going to be putting a gsr rear sway bar on my 94 civic ex coupe...(free, so its good for now). would i still need to use the BSQ or similar kit to mount this? i already have the gsr LCA's so that is all set. i will go with the kit anyways (as long as it works for this application), just wondering if it is necessary. thanks.
