Default Camber kits

Does anyone have instructions on how to install a camber kit? A friend of mine was telling me I have to remove the entire spring/shock assembly to do this. Is this true? I thought I could just unhook the control arm and swing it down.

You are right, just unbolt the top control arm nuts from the shock tower, then swing the arm around to the outside. Should be simple to install. Adjusting is another story. I'm not sure how those alignment guys get to those things to adjust them.

Ya I thought so. The thing I'm wondering is that metal brace that connect them togeter. Will I be able to get that off behind the shock? If I can then I can just swing the control arm down.

The brace just slips over the bolts so you should just be able to slide it off once you get the bolts out of the shock tower. Here's a diagram:

Ok if thats the case then it will be pretty easy. One more question. Why do I leave the brace off with the new camber kit on?

Hmm it looks like the base of the threaded part of those camber adjustors has a hex-shaped area, and the brace probably won't fit over it. That's my guess.

Ok so I had to umbolt the actual stock camber adjusters to remove them from the control arm. Was a biatch to get off. Ended up bending the support brace cause I couldnt get it to disconnect from the bolts. Also on the Ignalls Camber kit they have these spacer sleeves that wouldn't fit in the hole. I had to remove those for proper installation. Is that what everyone else did?

Going for an alignment later today. Feeling raped on the price tho cause I had to get new tires for $87 each and an alignment for $60. Total about $250 for everything after I talked the guy down like $30.
