Default no vtec

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i just dropped a new motor in my ef so i have not wired up the vtec to the ecu yet. so i riged the vtec to a button for a day till i can wire up the vtec to the ecu.. but then it just didn't work so i took off the the solenoid to check it out, so i cleaned it and put it back on and still no vtec.. could it be the oil presure or the solenoid f&cked up or could it be something in the head..

ohh ya the motor is a b16a

why don't you wire it up right and see what happens.

I bet your ecu is throwing code 21 or 22 and that's why vtec isn't working.

That stuff doesnt matter..He is running vtec with a button..So it sounds like you're low on oil..You better run a 30amp relay with the button or you will blow out the solenoid,,

i was runnig the vtec with direct current for now till i get the ****** vss right on my gsr cluster thats a bicth man.. it has oil, today i changed the oil pan on the motor and i put new oil in it.

i think its either
1. solenoid is messed up
2.theres something wrong in the head
3. or low oil pressure which means (new oil pump)

just hook it up right please! you won't see nearly the performance gain like this because your ecu won't be using the vtec fuel/ignition maps. it'll just toss on a different cam lobe and not compensate for it.

if the speedo doesnt work you wont have vtec...u just answered your own question "i was runnig the vtec with direct current for now till i get the ****** vss right on my gsr cluster thats a bicth man.. it has oil, today i changed the oil pan on the motor and i put new oil in it"
