thats funny same **** happend to my car only by the previous owner. what i did was take off the hinges and get a large punch and hammer and beat the two threaded holes down till it looks flat. i bet your windsheild was busted huh?
yea it was.i had to replace it..i just got a jdm sir front end and this problem is really gettin to me.i want it to look clean..i did try hammering last night.it looked flat to me and still doesnt sit right..thanks for the response dude...anyone else?
Well, is your new hood flat? Was it bent out of shape due to shipping? Reason dictates that if the mounting points for your hood are perfectly flat, then the new hood should sit perfectly flat. Unless of course either the mounting points for the hood, or the hood itself does not sit flush as it should.
the hood is fine dude.i bought the front end from a local.he had it on his rex and it was fine..i know its my car cuz my previous hood was the same
So the hood sat flush before? If it did, and your previous hood flew open on the freeway then I'd suggest either replacing your hinges (if you haven't already done so), or taking your car to a professional bodyman to check if the engine bay dimensions are in spec (usually takes 10 minutes or less with the proper tools). A hood popping off on the freeway could possibly bend a lot of stuff out of spec.
