WTF!! holes dont line up!
ok so i started to take my suspension stuff apart (dont know machanical terms of the parts) because i wanted to adjust the perch on my konis...
so, i unbolted the long bolt that holds the bottom of the shock to the thing that spins the rotors...and now i cant get those holes to line back up to screw the bolt back in !!!! how am i supposed to do this? any sugestions?..
i tried putting weight on the rotor thing so i will go down and meet the other hole...but it still isnt enough to line the holes up. i also tried using a screw driver to line them up but no luck. HELP ME PLEASE !!! i want to get those done and get my baby back in the garage before the bad guys come out to play!!
i have some pics but we-todd-did-racing.com is down..so ill post as soon as possible, HELP!

i just went outside and jacked up the front a lil more and the holes are ALMOST there...like another inch...but then i put pressure on the rotors to make it go down..and it feels like it wont go any lower..
ok..so we-todd.com doesnt work..so i uploaded the pic onto my MYSPACE site...!!!
i hope you guys can help me!!!

disconnect the bolt that connects the lca to the hub, once you do this you can use a jack to compress the springs allowing you to get those holes to line up

Second person i'm helping because i'm snowed in. I think I know what the problem is.
Please refer to these diagrams when reading:
Diagram A:

Diagram B:

Make sure the your front fork (Diagram A, Part #15) is sitting all the way up on your spring/shock combination (Diagram B, Part #4). If it isn't all the way up, this may prevent you from getting the bolt (Diagram A, Part #19) though the lower arm (Diagram A, Part #14). If you're having trouble getting the fork into the shock combination use lots of WD-40 and make sure your fork is lined up with the shock body before forcing anything.

if you jack up the part that the bolt is in in the picture, i call it the fork. you should easily be able to get the bolt holes lined up. you might need to put a screw driver through it when you get it jacked up to help you line it up, when you get it lined up and put the bolt in and hit the head with a hammer(not to hard) so every thing lines up good and you should be able to bolt it up.
hope this makes sense, i know it works, i installed my friends coil overs last night. PS sorry for spelling mistakes spell check not working

thanks a lot for the replies guys! i tried jacking up the fork thing..but it doesnt sit completly vertical..so wen i go to jack it up..it slides off the jack (ii dunno if that makes sense..)
im gettin desperate..i think im gonna put my curling bar under the fork thing and rest it on the rotor and prop it up that way. i think this is gonna work...if not, im SOL. hah!

if that didnt work for you try what b18b said and unbolt the bolt that connects the lower control arm(LCA) to the hub, this will allow the LCA to swing down, bringing the holes closer to each other, you might still need to jack up on the fork but not as much means less pressure and that should be easier. what kinda jack are you using? i find scissor jacks work great due to how small they are
Still looks like the fork is not sitting all the way up on the shock / spring combo from this picture:

Another idea is... put the side you are working on a jack stand. Proceed to the other side (driver side or passenger side) and jack that side up and see if the control arm on the side you are working can be pushed down lower. I have a feeling your sway bar may be preventing you from getting full range of motion of the control arm. Let me know if this helps.

i used an extra jack, jacked up on the fork forcing it upward, and have a friend or yourself push down on the caliper/rotor assembly while you or your friend tries shoving the bolt through.

get it as close as you can and hit ti with a hammer. if you can't get it to line up have some step on the brake/caliper and push the spindle down while you try to push in the screw.
when i installed my omnipowers i ran into the same exact problem. i used my jacks carefully balanced (jacks meaning stock jack and my floor jack) to align the holes. good luck.
I'm assuming this is with the front suspension and the fork is not aligning with the hole in the lower control arm. Have someone step onto the brake rotor, only one foot or 2 feet on the rotor as required.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I guess we're experts at dc2 suspensions.
