hey i got a 88 crx with a b16 want to get some more power so i want to upgrade to cams to skunk2 pro series stage 1 cams. i have stock motor other than bolt ons like cai, intake man, tb, exhaust and spoon ecu. other than valve springs and retainers would u recommend ne other upgrades to get the most out of the cams??

First off, get rid of that spoon ecu, its total ****. Next, depending on what obd you are running the b16, get either turboedit for obd0 or crome (or uberdata) for obd1. Upgrade the injectors to 310cc.

Next, since you are taking apart the valve train, might as well put in some aftermarket vavles. They'll probably be lighter and stronger.

Also, Port and Polish the head while you are at it. Get a decent header too, I see you didn't mention that. Maybe a small shot of nitrous?

 

nitrous is by far the best bang for your buck... how much money are you planning on dumping into this b16... how apart are you willing to rip it... like anybody is gona say on here if you plan on throwing a good amount of cash in it the best seup would be turbo... n/a cars usualy run alot more money... even with stock internals and 6 psi you will be moving right along

I would say get some CTR cams instead of the skunk2's so you can save some money. Then a decent header along with a straight pipe. Thats just some simple things to do.

i actually got the skunk2 cams cheaper than ctr
