Default My GSR swap Into ma DA

Ok, im startin my swap into my da. I have a 2001 GSR motor going in. So far i got the motor and tranny. i have on the way the Innovative mounts with hydro tranny to cable tranny conversion, Pr3 ECU, Clutch, Skunk 2 Intake manifold. Biggest problem i am most confused with is the ECU, should i get a Stock pr3 or a chipped? or get it stock and then chip it? somone told me not to get a chipped ecu like the skunk/spoon etc because they arent tuned for my specific application. However a stock pr3 wouldnt be either right? since it wouldnt be specifically tuned for a GSR motor. Best thing to do? thanks for the help, excited to get this done im moving on from a b18A that is tired as %$%#. After this swap im going to build a b18 boost motor. Thanks guys.

ALSO.. ne one have any estimated power on a

GSR Motor With PR3 ECU
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
DC ceramic 4to1 header
AEM intake
i gues thats it.. ne estimations? lol stock hp? hehe

I think stock the GSR makes what like 180whp? Depending on what year your DA is you'll need to convert from OBD0 if it's a 91' to OBD1. If it's a 92-93 you're already OBD1 and you just need a chipped P28...GET IT TUNED. On the other hand, you might be able to use a 92-93 GSR ecu IF you can find one...or possibly use a OBD2 GSR ecu and a OBD1-OBD2 conversion....you need to find out what ECU you're going to use to figure this one out.

good luck

I got a question about your swap?

what drivers side engine mount did you use

i was wondering if you knew if a DC's upper/lower drivers engine mount would bolt and line up with a DA engine mount?

I do think they are the same seeing how you need NO engine mount modification to put a gsr engine (like mine) into a DA (like mine) however i am going to get new mounts because of the hydraulic conversion that is needed and i might as well get the mounds since they sell a set..

DA mounts have a bolt on bottom mount and one thats on the rubber mount and they bolt into each other

and DCs have 2 bolts on lower mount that bolts up to the upper mount

...would a b18c with DCs upper/lower engine mounts bolt up to the DAs chassis?
