Is there a problem with having a 17" & a 15" wheel on the front of the car?
j/w... had a blow out the other night and im on 17's, & decided to throw a 15" LS mesh to hold me over for a few more days. I plan on going cruising around tonight... is it bad to have one 17" wheel on one front axle and having a 15" on the other front axle? I have heard there can be problems, but what can cause the problems? LMK...
im running the same way right now.
had a blow out about a week ago. now ive got 17s on all three except my front passenger side. there ive got a 15 fat 5...
im not sure if its bad or not, but i guess we will both get help out of this post...

The wheel size doesn't mean anything. Its the tire size.
If both the tires have the exact same external diameter, then you should be fine. Otherwise, I suppose it could cause issue swith the transaxle. You're supposed to put the temp spare on the back, and move a back tire to the front, so it would probably be best if you did that now, but with the LS wheel instead of the spare.

I agree with him. Id put the smaller tire on the back,

Same opinion.
It depends on the diameter of the tire, not of the wheel.
The unmatched pair should go on the rear of the car.
It's okay as a temporary measure; it's better than using the donut spare. But I wouldn't recommend it for an extended period of time, since the handling can be unpredictable when using unmatched tires.

It could cause stability problems during hard braking (panic stop) if one tire has much more grip than the other. I agree with the others, put the mismatched tire on the back.
