95 accord ac/heater problem
Not so much the blend door in the heater box, but the cable from the heater control often breaks / binds either at the blend door bellcrank or the hot water control valve binds open.

I havea similar issue, my knowb broek twice.
Then I discovered the crank was stuck and the stress was braeking the ***** when turned.
Anyone know how to fix that?

You actually have to determine where in this system the bind occurs.
It works like this.
**** (the one that always breaks) is attached to a shaft which, through a bevel gear, moves a lever back/forth in the rear of the heater control assembly. This moves a cable in/out to operate the temperature regulatory system. It goes:
Control head (almost never a problem)
Primary Control Cable (from Cont head to bell-crank)
Lever/bell-crank attached to the temp blend door in heater box (1st possible point of binding condition
Secondary Cable (bell-crank to Hot water control valve)
Hot water Control Valve (2nd possible point of binding condition)
I'd go directly to the Hot Water Control Valve, disconnect the control cable and check for binding *of the hot water valve*. It had better move freely. If it binds, replace *the hot water valve*.
If it's free of binding, *chk the cable operation* you're looking at pulling the heater box down to determine what's going on.
