Default Climate control Problem.

okay i have 96 civic LX.
The **** on my climate control doesn't go all the way to the right or the left. The **** that you use to change from hot to cold

it moves left and right but doesnt go all the way left or all the way right. So when i need to defog my windshield i try to move the **** all the way to the right and it always goes back towards the middle like a inch. same with the cold... so i can't get it warm enough to defog.

anyone have any suggestions?

or the valve in the engine bay is rusted stuck. check that out too.. just follow the coolant line from the head going back by the firewall.. theres a valve there that the cable connects too.

haha so which one should i do first? check the cable behind the climate control? which means i have to take out the dash??

or pop my hood and check the coolant line and follow it to the firewall of the car..
I dont really know much about that part, where in the engine bay is the valve for the cable?

it is going to have to thick hoses connected to it with a metal looking cord kind of wrapped to it..just look behind the engine and you will see it..have someone mess with the temperature **** while you are looking and you will see it easier

Same thing happened to me one time, it was the cable behind the climate control, you don't have to take out all the dash, just the climate control.
