Default Falken Azenis

first time posting to this great ITR board!

just wanted to know what you guys think of the falken azenis in terms of comfort, noise levels, etc compared to the stock re010 tires. i researched the azenis on this board and found that they are great tires in terms of handling, stopping, steering feel, etc, but not much about comfort for daily use, long trips.

they're great tires. However, if you want tires that will last you a long time, these wont get the job done.

I have had my Azenis for a few weeks, here are my impressions.

Comfort: The tires seem to stiffen up the ride a bit over the stockers, but no big difference. Comfort is good.

Noise: Definitely more noise than the stock tires, but the sounds of the engine drowns it out for the most part. I can hear the tires when I am off the throttle at around 40 MPH, but that's about the only time. With the radio on I don't even notice it.

The tires are great. I have them on my Miata.

1. They are a step below race tires, but a step above "regular" performance tires.
2. They slide predictable. Race tires grip and then all of a sudden lose grip. The Falkens slide at the same rate throughout the turn.
3. They are great in the rain.

They grip like crazy in the dry, but suck real bad in the snow. Don't ask how I know...

My one complaint is that they seem to squirm a little bit on turn in. I don't think it's a problem with the tires perse, but more a problem with the wheel/tire combo on my car. I'm running the 215/45/16 on a 16x7 wheel and I think it's too much tire for the wheel.
