yesterday i replaced my spark plugs and wires, now tonite i was driving to go to my gurls house when i started to smell something funny then my lights went dim, headlights and dashboard i would give my car some gas and my pedal would my tuff ot push in and then when i did push it in my pedal would return back to normal position but the rpms would shoot up high, my speedometer when jump down to o mphs when i was doin bout 25 mph. -- but the fuel lever under my hood is sticking, when i push it manualy its fine reeves up fine and fine then when i let off the lever it returns bac to the normal position and then the rpms go back to 1000 rpms like normal. please can u help im only 16 yrs. old and im really having a really hard time wit this accord..
Well I'll have to make a wild guess that this is a 79 accord.
If the throttle plate is working by hand okay..I'd suspect the throttle cable is bad.
You can try unhooking the throttle cable end and have some one push the gas pedal down while you hold the cable end and 'feel' for rough spots.

92ish accords tend to wear out the throttle cables quicker than most. If it feels like the cable is rubbing (you can feel it through the gas pedal) If that's the case you need to replace the cable. It's not too hard to do if you have a little bit of mechanical ability.
