i got the haynes repair manual to my 2001 Civic Ex, i have valvetrain noise coming from the left of the head so i started studing the book on how to adjust the valves. The book says refer to specification section of this chapter to see what to adjust it to. but it doesnt say anywhere in the book what the tolerance or clearance is. So i was wondering if anybody knew off the top of their head what it is. Im also debating between doing it myself and taking it to a shop considering i dont know what im doing and the engine is probly sensitive to mess ups. So i was wondering if it is easy and straight forward to adjust the valves.
