extreme wheel shake after integra brakes
after swapping DA brakes on my crx the wheels shake violently when braking...i traced this down to the rack end bushing , but my question is since before the swap my car braked fine is the added mass of the DA knuckles the contributing factor to the failure of the bushing? also, how exactly does the bushing work? im kinda hoping Tyson will jump on this one and help me out lol...because im considering swapping back to stock brakes if i cant fix this permanently
Well if all you did was change the brakes over and didn't mess with that bushing, common sense tells me you have warped rotors and not a bushing problem.
yea that was my first thought too but they arent that warped and i drove cars with warped ones before and this is much stronger shaking
Did you get an alignment after putting the DA brakes on?
How long after swapping them on did you notice the vibration occur?

Can I assume you also changed the hub/knuckle assemblies? It is entirely possible that one of them (or both) could have bad bearings and/or bent hubs. Bent hubs are especially likely from junkyard parts, which could have accident damage.

warped rotars are the most common problems when it comes to disc brake conversion that i've noticed . . correct me if im wrong . . ?

Why would you need to, camber is not adjustable and you're not adjusting the tie rod nut.
Does the pedal pulsate? if not its not the rotors

I am pretty sure the DA knuckles have the outer tie rod mount in a different location from the stock pieces. When I installed mine, I had very noticable toe-in on both sides, after coming from a perfect alignment with the stock knuckles.

what do you want me to say that i havent said already in many other posts?
you might have a warped rotor. why are you even using a used rotor?? new rotors are cheap. but a warped rotor will accentuate the play you probably have in your steering and suspension. so track down the play, fix that and get new rotors.
as for alignment, i really disagree with assuming putting a completely new set of knuckles, especially of a different model that your alignment would be fine. so you need to get that checked too anyway. but only after youve replaced any needed parts. however, bad alignment doesnt cause shaking during braking.
