Ok.. When decelerating my car makes a vibrating noise. I can't feel the vibration, but I can hear it. It sounds like it is coming from the tranny, and or the driveshaft. My 1st thought was clutch. but mine was replaced less that 6 months ago. It has done it since I bought the car. I test drove half a dozen of them before this one. It didnt seem out of the ordanary. I remember other ones I test drove being noisy. I don't remember which ones had the original clutch though. I think I remember others saying all s2k's do this..... so I really have not payed attention to it until my friend (who is a very well respected technician) was driving it for the last day. He said It sounded funny.....So Now I am kinda worried.. Does anyone elses car do this?

You should also check your cat's or header's heatshield.

 

does the noise get worse when you downshift?

 

only when I let off the throttle...under load it is fine.
