Default Throttle Body advice??? Skunk 2 vs BBL

I have a 01 lude with I/H/E and looking to put a throttle body on. Has anyone else installed one or have any say on this? HP gains any noticed? I purchased a STR throttle body and it was a POS didnt have the lines for the coolant and didnt hook up right. I was looking at the 68mm. I heard these mod doesnt do anything for the 5th gen prelude and its a waste of money??? I need some help here!!!

yeah, Throttle bodies really don't help much with just basic boltons - actually, they might make you lose some HP.

Changing a TB is more effective on a car that reads air velociti rather than quantity. i.e - a car with a MAF sensor.

I'm going to suggest you wait a bit, alteast until you get cams and everything.

i havent personally gotten proof...but brad at RLZ says 70mm or bigger for an h22....he reccomended 70mm for me....i have an str one....they dont use a fast idle thermal valve...i doubt you will find one that does, just loop those coolant lines....

STR is a great TB. I have the 70mm. Like Mgags said, loop the coolant.

I'm using an Edelbrock 70mm (too big for now, I know...) and it's been great so far. It uses a Ford TPS which is much easier to come by than a Honda TPS...

all these 70mm's you guys are talking about are actually tapered correct? i built my own 70mm all the way through and machined the manifold to accept it which of course breaks through some casting walls into the IAC passages. I'm guessing these others will bolt up to a stock mani without modifications.
