Default 2ND BLOCK GONE in 2 weeks!!! help

i went through a dohc zc block last week for not checking my oil,,,,dammit. i swapped in a d16a1 after milling my head and changing every single gasket, pressure leak testing it,,,, so on,,, and the friggin engine started knocking on me recently!!!!! the car ran perfectly. the only thing that went wrong is i had to modify the front motor mount, re tap the transmission for some extra holes, shave down the interior of the trans, get the pulley set (crank, cams) but damn thing is knocking!!! my question is can i swap a d15 or d16 bottom. i got 2000 on me right now but the engine i want is gonna take me longer build. its my only car since my formula;s head gasket took a ****. and i just bought the whole front end sir conversion for it. sould i just buy a little bucket for 800 bucks and wait or swap a zc bottom. also, a friend of mine has the sohc zc for 250 complete swap,, should i swap it as a whole or can i swap the bottom end.

D15 or D16 or SOHC ZC bottom ends won't fit with that head. Only DOHC ZC. Different bolt pattern.

Good luck man.

lmao /^

hehe, i did the whole tune up, i still got to check the crank pulley, it might be loose or the pin is probably worn (the pin is from a d16a1 "old" versus my old zc from a newer rover in europe) it doesnt seem as internal knocking. another thing is i tried the lucas fuel additive and hours later it started knocking(?)
