if you actually know something about the type s swap please post it instead of trying to be smart.
if you have had a shop put in your engine please post the cost. if you know the average whp with bolt-ons by a dyno please post, if you have had experience with lsd and no-lsd please post your opintion of feel and power vs. cost, and if you have a time slip please post your time.

or why don't you just call around and find out the price for a swap? different places charge different prices. we can't give you a qoute for a shop in your area. and i don't know what swaps go for, me and my friends have done all our own swaps.

whp will be about the same as a base prelude with bolt-ons. every motor is different though, even 2 unmodified bone stock motors. milage, compression, past abuse, etc...will all come into play when you dyno a newly swapped motor.
the type-s was meant to be a track car, not a drag car. if you want something that is faster in a straight line go for the base model. a lsd base prelude sounds like what you're looking for. don't flame the_sober for trying to help, he wasn't flaming you or anything.

i have done the swap, the type S motor has 215 stock at the flywheel and the powerplant throws down about 205 with mods. its all over the road so upgrade your suspension, its called the H22a jspec motor or the Type S... anymore questions?

i bought my motor from hmotorsonline complete change over kit with lsd shipped was 2674 (to a business)
changing to manual tensioner and changin water pump timing belt fluids plugs etc i spent around 500
i have a guy helping me put it in wants 300 but local shops ranged from 1500-3000 (rediculous) just call around
hp stock was 200 tq was 161
ive read that small mods (intake exhaust) some have hit mid to low 14's and ive read stock usdms run 15's the times all depend on if its usdm or jdm if u go lsd or no lsd and ow good u can drive.
if you find a stock jdm dyno let me know

yeah, silly me for offering an opinion to a guy who wants to know the difference in "feel" between an LSD and non-LSD car.
I think he should get the non-LSD trans. It'll save him money and LSDs are only beneficial to people who know how to drive...

sry if u were trying to help, i just read your responces and thought you were being smart, i just was looking for more detailed answers and i felt that your responce was too general and that you were trying to be one of those who post useless replys. if you posted with the intention to help me out i apologize.
and everyone else who posted thanks for the great responce. i decided to modify my lude instead of swapping to a type s w/lsd. if my engine ever dies i may then consider the j-spec. i'll post a dyno after i put some cams in and tune the sucker.
