Timing belt
Well my Si is now at 63,000 and im wondering is it time to do a timing belt or no? When is the best time to change them? My old car (94 300zx twin turbo) we changed them every 60k. With a honda can you go more or is it just a rule of thumb change them every 60k or longer?
my d16z6 is suppose to be done every 90k...
ive seen people do it every 60k but in general for hondas, anywhere in that range is fine. It wouldnt ghurt the engine if you did it sooner rather then later.

Honda recommends every 60k miles but that they rate it at that because they do not know if you beat the **** out of your engine or not. If you beat your car then change it every 60k if your easy on it then taking it to 90k could be done. If i were you i would change it now, better safe then sorry.

A dealership will quote you about a 5 hour job even though they do it in under 3ish... All depends on tools and how good you are... It took me about 6 hours on my brothers b18. First time ever doin a t-belt will all hand tools. longest part was the crank bolt and alignin the timin

i did it when my old civic hit 90k, and i changed my t-belt once i bought my newer civic with 160k. someone came to my old shop where i worked about a year ago and her 86 accord had 230k and never changed the t-belt. the belt was literally split in half and metal stuff was coming out of it. it still ran but it was amazing that it lasted so long.
