ok let me elaborate a little bit more i was at work and it was time to go

ok so i got on it a little bit threw first and second that's all just to get in traffic. i got threw the rest of the gears fine, i get to a stop light and i go to put it in first, still feel fine until i let up off of the clutch ok NOW i'm wondering maybe i was just in third so i re gear it thinking its go back in first well it does the same thing. i get off work and go drive it and i realize that not only does it act up but when it is in gear it goes from one side of the gears to the other like it was in neutral

one of your shift cables is broken or no longer attached to the bracket they clip into. check to make sure the clips that hold the cable in place are still on the tranny and the bracket that holds the shifter. Also make sure the cable didn't slip off the lever on the tranny. You'll want to focus on the cable that controls the side to side shifter motion. Shouldn't be a hard fix.

I had this same problem with my H22 hatch. I did the zip tie method and it fixed it like no other, basically go underneath the car and where the hole is for the shifter to be placed zip tie the cables together coming down until you feel its no longer loose and has a tight feeling to it. That should work alot better.

what don't you understand?? Go underneath the car and where the cables go into the inside of the chassis, where you sit, zip tie the cables together as if to make them more of one cable instead of two seperate cables. Zip tie them for about 6-8 inches from where you start.
