I was just wondering which ones of the JDM H22A comes with 220HP? Also does anyone know of any place where I can get information about what size injectors they come with, compression ratio.....

you are refering to the type S motor, which I believe has a H22A7 or H22A5 or H22AS or some designation like that (it will NOT just say H22A on it). It has a blue valve cover - but so does the F20B, so be careful.

it has 11:1 compression, but not sure about the injector size. I would think they are no bigger then the normal H22A1 or H22A injectors - those were overkill on those engines.

Thanks a lot for the info. About the injectors though, I know that the 96 SRV come with I think 320 or 340 and the 99+ come with 240? I was wondering what size the H22A type S would come with?

 

actually, the type S motor comes with a RED valve cover!!! the F20 comes with a blue one!!!

Don't waste you're money on a type-s motor. You could get a standard H22a to put out WAY more power than a type-s motor for the same money. (and then get the valve cover powder coated red!)

A type S? I don' think so. Oh sure, I bought my Jdm H22A W/Lsd for $2300 too, but yer not gonna find a type s for that much, no way.

In fact, I'll pay-pal bet you 5$ you can't get a Type S H22a for less than $3800!

h22a long block sells for $1100. give them a call or email them for a quote the Type S.

 

All I have to say is don't buy the engine because it's cheap. There is most likely a reason that it is so cheap... why would you not ask for more money when other people are selling them for more? Do it once, do it right...

 

if you're refering to the site he posted, http://www.hondamotorsonline.com , its not that cheap. im heading down to cali from az this sunday to pick a motor up from them. he is letting me hand pick it. steve is a super nice guy and will try as hard as he can to get you a good price. i know he is getting some accord euro-r motors in tomorrow because he told me they were on the same ship as all 25 of his h22's that are coming in also. he also has a h23 vtec from the new accord sir wagon in stock. give him a try, he offers an awesome warranty

Anyway, I've been temped by the Type S too, but considering the price difference in the two, (like kevie88 said), you can take the difference and put that money into a plain USDM H22 block and come out ahead of the JDM Type S H22.

 

I got that bet if ou want it. Sorry if none of you no any good plugs on motors. But i am like best friends the the owner of the shop i got my drop done. Also i said i paid that much for the motor with no tranny and JDM comp. And no such thing as Lude type-S real name is SIR

so i paid another 1,000 for the drop.
and first run two days after i got out of the shop i Hit the 14.3
AND USDM MOTORS ARE WEEK AS **** COMPARED TO MINE. I beat my friends 95 LUDE H22A1 by at least amost a hole second. QT

MAybe you should try to find oiuut how much they get them for and you will see how bad most of you are taking it from BEHIND.

The H22A engine is a watercooled 4 stroke DOHC inline 4 cylinder with 220 hp @ 7200 rpm, 9000 rpm Redline, the H22A has a compression of 11.0:1, a displacement of 2157cc.

Though not as widely known, the Type S engine, like the Type R engine, receives a port-&- polish job from Honda

sorry to tell u this but there is no US H22A

US are H22a1 normal 2.2 vtec or h22a4 SH vtec then what i first had non vtec 2.3 which is being built for turbo for a hatch back.

you find me link or site that shows a USDM that is H22A
