Default Idle problem on crx..... HELP!

Okay, heres the problem.

My friend has a CRX DX with a d16z6 motor in it. Motor has skunk 2 manifold, intake, headers, OBD 1 chipped P28 w/ OBD 0 to OBD 1 jumper harrness in it. For some odd reason it idles weird. When driving the car regularly I put it into nuetral and it idles at 2 grand. When I come to a complete stop then it drops below 500 rpm or sometimes it dies out. We changed the throttle body, adjusted the idle screw, checked all the sensors, checked all vaccum lines and everything. Can't find out what the problem is.
We were thinking maybe it has to do something with the distributor or fuel. We are running out of ideas. Thought maybe you guys can help out. Thanks!!!!!

I've been having the same damn problem with my ford probe...I adjusted the idle screw 6 ways from sunday. I heard yesterday that it might be the TPS but I didn't check that out yet, it's like the O2 sensor is bad....but I already replaced it... And yeah, I got a check engine light...that turns on when I"m in one gear, on the gas too long, code read-out says it's cause of too rich/too lean fuel mixture, I don't know what the expletive the problem is, but it's annoying as hell...

I definately hear ya on that one....
