My H brace hangs about 1.5" lower than the stock header pipe above it.

Difference in handling and grip is great. I usually go fast on a certain curve on the way home. At about 65 mph, I can feel the front tires starting to lose grip. With the bars, I was able to go 70 with the tires firmly planted. I haven't had the chance to push it past since then.

I got mine at NOPI. The brand is NRG. Megan Racing and Tanabe are other manufacturers that make these braces too.

Yea, NRG's welds are very nice in comparision to Megan and the ebay h braces, i would suggest not going with those. Check out NRG's in the sale threads seem like good stuff although i have no direct experience, but anything to help with Chassis rigidity im all for!

Just a quick question about the H-Brace... Those of you that noticed an improvement, have you ever replaced your bushings?

I've been hearing mixed reviews about this brace, some people say it helped a lot, others say it didn't do anything. It would seem to me that it would only stiffen up the excessive movement that a 13+ year old torn rubber bushing would cause, thus providing excellent results in some people's cars, while others don't notice any improvement.

Again, i'm not making a statement - just thinking out loud. What do you think?

Personally I am a little skeptical, but I don't mean to take a **** in your front yard while you're having a garage sale. Do any of you consistantly drive in auto-x? Any before/after results on a car that already has a lot of suspension work done?

Hmm... Thanks for the response. I really want to try one of these once I finish my suspension work - but I'd do a before/after test. Perhaps if I ran my first set of runs w/out the brace, and then install the brace during the wait for the 2nd heat. That way I could get a very realistic perception as to just how much of a difference it really makes.

Too bad it's going to take me a few more months before I actually race in THIS season. Ugh.

Yeah, me too. I replaced everything with energy suspension bushings. Drove it a couple of months, then slapped on the H-Brace. It really makes a huge difference.
