which one would you rather get ?
please help me vote.!!
and please leave me opinion.
this car is going to be my daily driver.
its also going to be my auto-cross car.
i really like stiff suspension, i have used lots of different spring and so on.
i think those ebay hard *** coilovers, with stock shocks hand very well ! lol
but those coilovers will make my car bounce like crazy on the freeway.
so i would like stiffer suspension, because of the body roll.
so which one should i go for ???
i have around $800. maybe a little more.
i think im going to drop my car around 1.7inches.
honestly, if i can corner really nice in auto-cross.
i dont mind my suspension being stiff for all my daily driving.
its all worth it ! =]
1: GC with Kyb . save the rest of the money for struts or control arms or camber kit.
2: spend all the money on Tein Basic !! and dont care about the rear LCA, or camber kit.
3: Onmi dampers, and saved the rest of the money and buy some struts.
4: UGR dampers, front and rear camber's kit. also with LCA ,... for $800
(i can get all that with the price of getting only a tein dampers)
i know everyone going to be like tein dampers.
but then remember ! i like stiff suspension. would tein basic be stiff enough for me to take the corner hard?
ALSO!! if you guys suggest me other combination. please let me know!
i will post it up for the vote! thanks!!!

Your car doesn't have struts; and 'strut tower' bars are almost completely worthless; as are control arms (pick up OEM on the cheap if you want a sway bar). Camber kit is not needed if you get a good alignment.
You've already cheaped out on your suspension once, and having to spend more money on it; why not just do it right the first time and get the Konis? You'll have the same results as your current setup with GC / AGX.

Well, they usually run just shy of $800 new, so that seems like a pretty good deal. Konis are serviceable, so even if one is bad, it can be rebuilt and still be ahead of the game.
The only thing is that you get a lifetime warantee when you buy them new, and I don't know if they warantee a rebuilt shock the same.

In regards to what a bushing kit is...it is a kit to replace all of your factory bushings with a harder durometer bushing made typically of polyeurethane. Basically it stiffens the area between moving suspension parts (i.e. control arms, trailing arms etc.) to where they are mounted on the car, resulting in more precise movement of the suspension. Depending on how many miles are on the car, you may or may not need these, but yes, they do help, especially on a higher mileage chassis. Good luck with your future mods, I know you would be very pleased with the Koni/GC set up.

Hands down you should get Koni sports (yellows) & ground control coilovers. You can get ANY springrate you want, and you'll have the damping range to handle them (up to about 550lbs/in). No shocks you have listed can handle that...

And do you care to add why the Teins are so special? I have experience with quite a few setups, and wasn't all that impressed thier offerings; and there are far better products out there than their bottom of the line stuff, and I'd venture event their flagship stuff.

You have like three threads going, and everyone is telling you the same things over and over. I don't think you're going to get much more advice.
