Does anyones center console get real real real real hot?
My center console gets real hot (where the cup holders go on a 99-00 civic). It gets abnormally hot. I had my car for over 5 years and it has not gotten this hot before. Could anything cause this. Either that or maybe I never noticed it before .
My center console is always warmer than the rest of the car. Although when I swapped everything into this Ej, I neglected to put the shifter boot (the rubber piece that goes over the actual hole in the floor) and my shifter got so damn hot i couldn't touch it. Make sure thats on correctly. You can always get some heat sheilding insulation and put it down under the console.

or you can go to your local salavage yard and pick up an OEM one...
... i did have the same situtation to my acura legend, it bascially somewhere there is hot air channeling inside your car. if you dont have that shifter boot or it may be loose...i would start with that area and look towards the firewall...good luck bro...keep us posted

If its THAT hot, theres something wrong. CTake off the console, make sure theres no hole in the floorboard.
ALSO, check for maybe a short or something.
Do you have a stock exhaust with the heatshields in place?

I have a 2006 Honda Civic, 1.8L, auto sedan (not sure if any of that is relevant-but, I thought I would throw it out there just in case ; )
