ok could be my fault, but here's what happen. my cat broke off a while ago, so i went to a muffler shop to repair it asap cuz i was running on open headers. instead i asked them to do a 2.5" piping straight through to my stock exhaust. asked them for a gasket to, since i didn't have one on. they said they didn't have one that fit, but said they'll do something else and it'll work. i said ok. i was standing there the whole time watching them, but i didn't look directly underneath. been about a month or two now. picked up a spoon exhaust, and high flow cat so i was gonna put on my stock piping today.

when i looked underneath, that shiet was welded onto my jdm itr headers!!!! i dunno wth they were thinking, but imma go back tomorrow to have them put everything back. if anything imma have them chop it and i'll drive home with open headers since im just around the block. this sucks...

 

You're in Rosemead right, what shop did you go to ????????

its okay. as long as they didn't cut anything off of the exhaust manifold, the welds they did can be cut off. Believe it or not, I saw this happen to a friend of mines too.

 

ok...i feel somewhat relieved now...

Should have came down to some muffler shop down here in El Monte and they wouldn't do something like that without asking.
They should let you know if they're gonna do something like that. Anyway, good luck .

I have went to Mike's since back in the days (Mid 1990's).

I can see how the muffler shop might have been confused...

 

yea never trust a typical exhaust shop with expensive aftermarket racing parts. I gotta get my testpipe cut and re-welded if I wanna fit a better header on. But you can be dam sure I am taking it to a performance shop to get it done.
